The Apley Compression Test Bodyworkers are familiar with the meniscus, a C-shaped cartilage in the knee joint, that acts as a shock absorber and provides stability during movement. Meniscal injuries commonly occur during activities that involve twisting or direct impact to the knee. The meniscus can tear or become damaged, leading to symptoms like pain, swelling, stiffness, clicking or locking sensations, and limited range of motion.
